Allison Aruta has been designing and creating jewelry for over 15 years. Everything she creates is handmade in New York. It is her goal to provide personalized service to create a unique, individually tailored product for each client.
In May of 2007, Allison Aruta, Inc. launched a new collection called "DO GOOD" jewelry. The inspiration for this line is her autism awareness necklace. Allison designed the autism necklace for a friend who has a son with autism. As the popularity of the necklace grew, Allison has been commissioned to create custom designs for other organizations. She is most passionate about the DO GOOD jewelry line and donates a portion of the proceeds to the related charities.
As a result of her efforts to give back, she was introduced to the charity driven website www.whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com . This site was created by John Ondrasik from the musical group Five for Fighting . This site raises money for causes close to John's heart as users post and view home made video clips. Current views are approaching one million and as a result donations have exceeded $150,000. Because Allison was so impressed by the efforts and charity work of John Ondrasik, she contacted him and was thrilled and honored to create the "History Starts Now" bracelet she currently sells on her site, with his support.
Allison attended both The Hartford Art School and The Fashion Institute of Technology. She currently resides in Roslyn, NY with her three sons.
